Data erasure

Data erasure is like cleaning up your room, but for your computer. Just like you clean your room to get rid of things you don't need, data erasure helps to get rid of all the things you don't want on your computer anymore.

When you use your computer, data is created and stored on it. This data includes things like your pictures, videos, documents and even the websites you visit. Sometimes, you don't need this data anymore, and you want to delete it.

However, just clicking the delete button does not always permanently remove the data from your computer. Imagine having a cake and just removing the frosting, the cake still exists below the surface. Similarly, when you delete something on your computer, the actual data remains on the computer's hard drive or memory. It only gets hidden from you and takes up space.

This presents a problem if you have confidential information such as personal documents, bank statements, or even work-related data, that you no longer want on your computer. Someone with the right knowledge can access these files even though you thought they were gone.

This is where data erasure comes in. Data erasure is a process that permanently removes all data from your computer's storage so that it cannot be accessed by anyone. It's like shredding documents that you don't need.

Data erasure uses special software that overwrites the data multiple times using random patterns to clean every bit of data from the hard drive. This makes it impossible for people to recover the data even if they use special recovery techniques.

So, in summary, data erasure is like cleaning up your room by permanently removing unwanted data from your computer, making sure that no one gains access to your private information.
