ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Decisional balance

Decisional balance is a way to make decisions. It means both weighing the good and bad things about what you are trying to decide. It's like a scale - on one side are all the good things about your choice, and on the other side are all the bad things about it. You can then decide which way to tip the scale - if there are more good things than bad things, you should go ahead with your choice. If there are more bad things, you should think twice.
