Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

A Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples is a document that outlines the rights that Indigenous people should have. Indigenous people are groups of people who have been living in a certain place for a very long time and have their own culture, language, and way of life. This document outlines things like their right to have a say in decisions that affect them, their right to own the lands they have been living on for a long time, their right to practice their culture and traditions, their right to get an education in their own language and many other things that will help Indigenous people keep their culture, language, and way of life.
