Defecation postures

When we need to use the bathroom and poop, there are different ways we can sit or squat. Some people sit on a toilet or a potty chair, while others prefer to squat down all the way on the ground or on something that is lower than a toilet seat. These different ways of sitting or squatting are called defecation postures.

Now, let's talk about why there are different defecation postures. When we sit on a toilet seat, our knees are usually higher than our hips, which makes it harder for poop to come out. When we squat all the way down, our knees are lower than our hips and our bottom is closer to the ground, which makes it easier for poop to come out. This is because our bodies are designed to use the most efficient way to poop, which is by squatting all the way down.

Some people also believe that squatting is better for our overall health, because it can help prevent constipation and improve digestion. In countries where people commonly use squat toilets, they have lower rates of colon cancer, hemorrhoids, and other digestive problems.

So, while there are different options for defecation postures, squatting all the way down is the most natural and efficient way for our bodies to get rid of poop. But don't worry, you can still use a toilet if that's what you're used to! Just remember that there are other options out there if you ever need them.
