ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Human positions

Have you ever wondered how people can move their bodies and stand in different ways? Well, that's what we call human positions.

You know how animals like cats and dogs have different ways of sitting or lying down? We humans also have different positions that we can stand, sit, or lie in, depending on what feels comfortable to us.

One of the most common positions we have is called standing. It's when we are up on our feet, with our body straight and our arms hanging by our sides. We can also bend our knees a little bit or raise our arms above our heads to stretch.

Another position we can have is sitting. This is when we bend our legs and sit on a chair, bench or the floor. Our backs can be straight or bent, and we can rest our arms on our legs or behind us.

Lying down is also a position we can have, where we're flat on our back or stomach on a bed or the floor. We can even curl up on our side like a ball to sleep.

We can also have different positions when we exercise or play sports. Like when we do a split, stand on one foot or bend over to touch our toes. Each position we make can have different benefits for our muscles and overall health.

So, human positions are just different ways that we can move our bodies, and we can choose which ones make us feel good and comfortable.
