Defensive design

Defensive design is when you make things so that people cannot do bad (or unwanted) things with them. For example, if you were a mom and you put a fence around your yard to keep your kids from running out onto the street, that would be defensive design. The fence makes it so that your kids will stay away from the street and stay safe in your backyard.
