Deforestation and climate change

Deforestation and climate change are two very important topics that are related to one another. Deforestation is when people cut down a lot of trees and don't plant new ones. This means that the trees that were taking in carbon dioxide and providing fresh air are no longer here.

Climate change is when the climate (weather) in different parts of the world changes, and it has become a big problem. Climate change is caused by many things, but one of them is deforestation. When there are no trees to take in carbon dioxide, the carbon dioxide stays in the air and causes the climate to change. The climate then gets hotter and drier, which can cause problems for animals and plants, and it also causes more extreme weather like hurricanes and floods.

So, deforestation and climate change are related in that deforestation means fewer trees to take in carbon dioxide, leading to more carbon dioxide in the air and causing climate change.
