Degenerate form

Hey kiddo! The word "degenerate" can have different meanings depending on what we're talking about, but in very simple terms, it often means something that has gotten worse or changed from its original state in a negative way.

In science and math, a "degenerate form" usually refers to a specific situation where something that used to be different or unique has become the same or equal to something else. Imagine if you had a bunch of toy cars in different colors and shapes, but suddenly they all turned into identical red cars. That would be a "degenerate form" because the cars have lost their original variety and are all the same now.

This kind of thing can happen in all kinds of science and math situations, from shapes and patterns to equations and formulas. It's often an important concept to understand because it helps us figure out how things are related to each other in different circumstances.
