Deistic evolution

Deistic evolution is a type of creation theory that suggests that God created the universe and everything in it, but that the world has changed over time in a process called evolution. Evolution is the process of life-forms changing over many generations through natural selection. This means that some creatures become better suited to their environment than others, increasing their chances of survival and having more children who also inherit those helpful traits. Over a very long period of time, these changes can accumulate and lead to new species. Deistic evolution suggests that God set this process in motion and allows it to continue, but that he is not actively involved in guiding it.
