Democratic deficit

Democratic deficit is when a country's government doesn't fully involve its citizens in the decision-making process. Instead, a lot of the decisions are made by a small group of people without much input from the rest of the population. This can mean that those decisions don't always reflect what the citizens of the country actually want.
