Demographic transition

Demographic transition is when there are changes in population, or how many people are living in a certain place. This is usually over a period of time - for instance, over the last hundred years, the population of the world has grown a lot! Usually, lots of babies are born in places with a lot of people living in it and not many people die. But eventually, as the population grows, people start having fewer babies, and more people start to die. This is called demographic transition.
