Design of experiments

Design of experiments is a way of figuring out the best way to do something by experimenting with different options. For example, say you want to figure out the best way to bake a cake. You could design an experiment where you make two cakes, but change one thing (like the type of sugar you use). Then you will be able to see which cake comes out better, and you can use that same method when you make a cake in the future. You can do this with any kind of project you want to do: cooking, making something, or even learning! Every time you change something and see how it affects the outcome, you are designing an experiment.
