Digital embossing

Digital embossing is when a computer makes a design look like it's popping out from a surface, like paper or plastic. It's like when you make a drawing with a pencil and then use your finger to push down harder on certain parts of the drawing to make them stand out. But instead of using your fingers, a machine with a special tool called an embossing die does the pushing for you. The embossing die has the design on it, and when it pushes into the material, it makes the design stand out. The computer tells the machine exactly where to push and how hard, so it's very precise. This process can create very detailed designs, and it can be used on things like business cards, invitations, and even chocolate! When you touch a surface that has been digitally embossed, you can feel the design with your fingers because it's raised up from the material.
