Division algorithm

The division algorithm helps you to figure out how many groups of a certain size can fit into a larger group. Imagine that you have five friends and you want to divide them into two groups. The division algorithm helps you figure out how to do this by dividing the total number of friends into two. In this case, the division algorithm would tell you that each group should have 3 friends, with a remainder of one because you can't divide 5 into two even parts.
