Doctor of both laws

Okay kiddo, so you know how people go to school to become doctors and help people with their bodies when they are sick or hurt? Well, some people also go to school to become doctors of the law, which means they know a lot about the rules and laws that people have to follow in their lives.

Now, there are two types of laws that doctor of both laws study: civil law and canon law. Civil law is all about the rules that people have to follow in their everyday lives, like how to drive a car, how to buy a house, and how to make a contract with someone. Canon law is all about the rules that religious organizations, like the Catholic Church, have to follow.

So a doctor of both laws is someone who knows a whole lot about both of these different types of laws. They spent a lot of time studying in school to learn all about the rules and regulations that people and religious organizations have to follow. They can use their knowledge to help people and organizations stay out of trouble and make sure they are following the law.
