Drug prohibition law

Drug prohibition law is a rule made by the government that says it is illegal or against the law to buy, sell, or use some types of drugs.

Think of it this way: just like how your parents make rules at home, the government makes rules for the whole country. Many adults believe that this law is important because it keeps people safe from harm and addiction. But some people think that the law is too strict and should be changed so that certain drugs are legal, like medical marijuana which can be used to help people with certain health problems.
