Drywall

Okay kiddo, so you know when we want to make a new room in our house or if we need to fix a hole or crack in the wall? We use something called drywall to do that.

Drywall is like a big flat sheet made of really strong materials like gypsum that are pressed together to make a solid panel. It's also called sheetrock or plasterboard.

Once we have the drywall, we put it up on the walls by using special screws and tape to make it stick in place. Then, we add plaster or joint compound to the seams between the drywall panels and let it dry. This covers up the cracks so it looks smooth and like there's just one big wall.

After that, we sand it down to make it even smoother and then we can paint it or decorate it any way we want!

So, drywall is like a big puzzle piece that we use to make walls and ceilings in our homes and is an important part of making our houses look nice and sturdy.
