ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Dual loyalty

Dual loyalty is when a person has loyalty to two different countries or groups at the same time. For example, a person may be an American citizen but also have loyalty to their parents' home country. This means they value and care about both countries, and they equally want the best for both. It can be difficult because it means a person might have to make tough choices when it comes to doing what's best for both countries.
