Earth rotation

Earth spins around, like a top. Our planet rotates on its axis—an imaginary line that passes through the North Pole and South Pole. Earth makes one complete turn around its axis every 24 hours. We call one full spin a day. It looks like the sun rises in the east and sets in the west because of the way Earth moves.
