Earthen plaster is like putting mud on walls (but not gross mud, it's special mud!). People use it instead of regular plaster or paint because it's good for the environment and it looks really cool.
First, people mix clay with sand and sometimes lime, which makes the mud stronger. Then they add water to make it a good consistency for spreading on walls.
They put the mud on the wall with a trowel (like a little shovel) and smooth it out. Sometimes they make cool designs or patterns in the mud. After the mud dries, it's hard like a rock and looks really pretty.
Earthen plaster is good for the environment because it doesn't have any chemicals or bad stuff that can hurt the Earth. Plus, if someone gets tired of the mud color or design, they can just put more mud on top instead of buying new paint or wallpaper.
