Eco-socialism

Eco-socialism is a way of thinking that combines two important ideas. First, it is a type of socialism – socialism is an economic and political system where the government works to make sure everyone has enough food, housing, healthcare and other needs taken care of. Second, eco-socialism focuses on protecting the environment. It believes that protecting the environment is just as important as taking care of people, and so it encourages using resources wisely and being careful not to pollute the land, water, or air. It also emphasizes giving everyone a say in how their environment is cared for, because everyone should have a say in what happens to the environment they live in.
