Economic liberalism is a way of thinking about the economy. It believes that people are the best judges of how to use money, and so it encourages people to make decisions about how to use money in their own lives. The government should not tell people what to do with their money. Instead, economic liberalism encourages people to use their money in whatever way they want—like spending it on what they need or investing it in a business. It also suggests that the government should focus on making sure that businesses compete fairly and that people have access to credit, like loans and mortgages, to buy things.
