Effects of climate change on plant biodiversity

Hey there little buddy! So, you might know that climate change means that the planet is getting warmer and things are changing. And one of the things that is being affected by climate change is plants.

Plants are super important for our planet because they help make oxygen for us to breathe and provide habitats for lots of animals. But, because of climate change, plants are having a hard time surviving.

Warmer temperatures mean that some plants that need colder weather to grow are struggling. Other plants that like dry weather might not be getting the water they need because there isn't enough rain in their usual habitats.

Climate change also affects the timing of seasons. This means that plants might flower or grow at different times of the year, which can be confusing for the animals that rely on them for food.

Some plants might even die out completely because the conditions they need to grow are no longer available. This can be really bad for animals that rely on those plants for food and shelter.

So, in a nutshell, climate change is making it harder for plants to survive, which can have negative effects on the biodiversity of our planet.
