ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Election monitoring

Election monitoring is like when there's a game with rules and you have someone watching to make sure everyone is playing fair. Just like how grown-ups watch games, there are special people who watch and check that voting happens in a fair and honest way during elections. They help make sure that everyone who wants to vote can vote, and that no one is cheating or doing anything mean to stop people from voting. These special people also write down everything that happens and tell everyone about it so that everyone knows what's going on. They help make sure that the people who win are really the ones who got the most votes and that the election was done right.
