ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Electric vehicles

Electric vehicles run on batteries like the ones in your toys or remote control cars. Instead of using gasoline like a traditional car, electric vehicles use electricity to power their motors. To recharge the battery, you plug the car into an electrical outlet, just like you would charge your tablet or phone. When you drive an electric vehicle, it’s very quiet, and you don’t hear the same engine noises as you do in a gas-powered car. It’s also important to remember that not all cars are electric, some still use gasoline or other fuels to run. Electric vehicles are better for the environment because they produce less pollution and greenhouse gases. They also save you money on gas, oil changes, and other maintenance costs, which is like having more toy money to spend on something else.
