Alternative fuel vehicle

A Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) is a car powered by something other than regular gasoline or diesel. Examples of alternative fuels are electricity, natural gas, hydrogen, and biodiesel. AFVs are also sometimes called "green cars" because they produce fewer harmful emissions than traditional (gasoline-powered) cars. This helps protect the environment and make the air we breathe healthier.
