Elegant degradation

Have you ever tried building a tower of blocks? Sometimes, when we build with blocks, we can easily make a tower that is tall and strong. But sometimes, we don't have enough blocks or we don't stack them very well, and our tower can wobble or even fall down.

In the same way, when people design websites or apps, sometimes they can make it really great and fancy-looking. But sometimes, they might not have enough resources or time to make it perfect. That's where elegant degradation comes in!

Elegant degradation means that even if a website or app isn't perfect, it can still work and be helpful to people. Just like how a tower can still be functional even if it's a little wobbly.

For example, if someone is using a website on their phone and they have a slow internet connection, some of the fancy features might not work very well. But with elegant degradation, the website can still be used and important information can still be accessed.

So, even though the website or app might not be perfect, it can still be useful and help people, and that's what counts!
