Ember Days

Okay, kiddo, today we're going to learn about Ember Days. Ember days are special days that some religious groups observe four times a year as a way to show thanks and pray for the changing seasons.

You know how the year has four different seasons - spring, summer, fall, and winter? Well, Ember Days happen during the time when each of those seasons starts. So, there's an Ember Day for the very first day of spring, the very first day of summer, the very first day of fall, and the very first day of winter.

During these days, people who observe Ember Days might do things like fasting, which means not eating as much food as they normally would. They might also spend more time praying or doing good deeds for others.

So, basically, Ember Days are special times throughout the year where people take a moment to think about all the good things that come with each season and show their thanks in different ways.
