Emergy

Emergy is a way of measuring how much energy something has used up. It looks at how much energy was used in order to create something or how much energy was lost when something changed. For example, if you made a sandwich, you would measure the emergy by looking at how much energy was used up to get the ingredients, make the sandwich, and finally eat it.
