Empiricism

Empiricism is the belief that knowledge comes from experience. To use an example: if you turn on a light switch and the light turns on, you have knowledge that turning on a light switch will turn on the light. This knowledge comes from your experience turning on the switch and observing that the light turned on. That's an example of empiricism.
