ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Enamine

Okay kiddo, an enamine is like a special kind of molecule that's made up of some atoms. You know that everything is made of tiny things called atoms, right? Well, an enamine has some nitrogen atoms in it, and those nitrogen atoms are connected to some other atoms.

Now, what's really cool about an enamine is that it can change into another kind of molecule. This happens when the nitrogen in the enamine shares some of its electrons with the other atoms in the molecule, and that changes the shape and properties of the molecule.

Scientists like to use enamines because they can be really useful in making new kinds of molecules that we might want for medicines or other things. So even though it might sound complicated, an enamine is just a special type of molecule that can change into different kinds of molecules, and that's pretty neat!
