Energy policy of the United States
Energy policy in the United States is about how the United States makes decisions about what kinds of energy should be used, and how much energy we should use. There are special laws that Congress has passed to help make sure that the United States has enough energy and also to make sure that we use energy in an environmentally responsible way. The laws help make sure that we are not wasting energy, that things like air and water pollution are kept to a minimum, and that we are using renewable energy sources like wind and solar power more and more. This helps keep our environment healthy and also helps to keep our energy costs lower.
