English Dissenters

English Dissenters were people who didn't agree with the official Church in England during the 1600s and 1700s. They disagreed with the laws and beliefs of the Church and wanted to be allowed to have their own religious beliefs. English Dissenters believed differently than the Church and wanted a place where they could practice their religion without worrying about breaking the law. They worked hard to gain more freedom to practice any religion they wanted, which eventually led to the passing of laws that gave people more freedom to practice whatever religion they wanted.
