ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

English Heritage

English Heritage is like a big group of grown-ups who take care of special old things in England. These old things are called "historic sites" because they are important and have been around for a really long time. These historic sites can be things like big, old castles, pretty gardens, or even old houses that famous people used to live in a long time ago.

The grown-ups in English Heritage are there to make sure these historic sites are safe and looked after so that people like you and me can visit them and learn about what life was like before we were born. They also make sure that people don't do things like graffiti or vandalize these special places, so they can stay around for many more years to come.

English Heritage wants people to enjoy and learn about history, so they make it fun by having special tours and activities you can do at some of the historic sites. This way you can have a good time while also learning interesting things about the past.
