ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Entropy

Entropy is a measure of how disorderly something is. For example, a pile of dirty laundry has a lot of entropy because it's all messy and jumbled together. On the other hand, a neatly folded pile of laundry has less entropy because it is organized and orderly. Entropy can also be used to describe the amount of energy in a system. If the energy is spread out evenly (like it is in the sun), it has a lot of entropy. If the energy is concentrated (like in a battery), it has less entropy.
