Environmental impact of fishing

Fishing is when people use boats or lines to pull fish and other sea creatures out of the ocean. Humans have been fishing for a long time, but when too many fish are taken out of the ocean it can cause problems. This is called overfishing and it can hurt the ocean's environment. Overfishing can make it harder for fish populations to survive and grow, and it can take away food that other animals in the ocean rely on. It can also make life harder for people who depend on fishing for their livelihoods. That's why it's important to make sure people fish responsibly and follow laws that help protect the environment.
