Environmental management system

An environmental management system (EMS) is a way of keeping your environment clean, safe and healthy. It is made up of steps and processes that you can use to protect animals, plants, air and water. For example, if you own a factory, you might have an EMS that tells your employees how to properly manage the chemicals that are used in the factory, so that they don't end up polluting the air or water around the factory. You might also have an EMS that tells your employees how to properly dispose of waste materials and how to prevent animals from getting hurt by the things you do. All of these things are important to keep our environment safe and healthy.
