Essence-Function

Essence-function is how things are connected to each other in a system. It's like a big puzzle. Each piece of the puzzle has a specific shape that helps all the other pieces fit together. That shape is the "function", and the qualities of the piece are the "essence". The essence helps us to understand how all the pieces fit together. Let's say you have a toy car. The car has a body, wheels, and an engine. Each of these pieces has its own function – for example, the body helps protect the insides of the car – and its own essence – for example, the body might be made of metal or plastic. All the pieces fit together to form a complete car. The essence and function of each piece help the car work.
