Ethnic stereotype
An ethnic stereotype is when people group together and assume that all people of the same group will act, behave or look the same way. This can be very hurtful and unfair because people in the same group may be very different. For example, if someone believes all Asian people are good at math, that might not be true of all Asian people. Everyone has different skills and experiences.
