Euhemerism

Euhemerism is an idea that comes from an ancient Greek thinker named Euhemerus. In his idea, he said that gods are really just really important people that used to be alive. So, if people worship gods, it is because those gods were really important people who did something amazing in their lives that was worth remembering. People would then tell stories about them, so even though they were dead, they turned into gods because people kept talking about them.
