"Ex-gay" is a term used by some people who used to be attracted to others of the same sex (we call this being gay), and who say they have switched and no longer have those feelings. This can happen when people try to change their sexual orientation by going to therapy or by going to groups that try to change them. Some people believe that being gay is bad and that they need to change in order to be accepted by their family, friends, or religion. However, it is important to know that being gay is perfectly okay and natural, and that people should be accepted no matter who they love. Trying to change someone's sexual orientation can be harmful and it can cause a lot of pain and suffering. It's like trying to change the color of your eyes- it's just not possible! It's important to love and accept people for who they are, regardless of their sexual orientation.
