ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Extermination through labour

Extermination through labour is a very bad and cruel thing that happened during World War II. When big and powerful countries like Germany took over other smaller countries like Poland, they made the people from those countries work very hard in factories and farms. But these big countries didn't care about these people and didn't give them any food, water or medicine.

These people were forced to work very long hours in very bad conditions, like being stuck in small rooms with almost no air or light. They were not allowed to use the bathroom or take breaks. They were treated like they were not humans.

Many of these people got sick and some even died because they were not taken care of properly. It was as if the big countries wanted to kill them slowly by making them work very hard in very bad conditions without even giving them the basic things they needed to live. This is what is meant by "extermination through labour".

It is important to remember that this was a very sad and terrible part of our history, and we need to make sure it never happens again. We must always treat everyone with kindness, respect and give them what they need to stay healthy and happy.
