Failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis

Failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMEA) is a way to analyze what might go wrong with a machine or process and how it can be prevented. It can help us identify and prioritize risks, so that we can take steps to eliminate them or reduce their effects. FMEA looks at how each part of the machine or process can fail, what the effects of that failure would be, and how critical its effects are. It helps us to identify problems so that we can plan solutions before something actually fails.
