False memory syndrome

False memory syndrome is when someone has memories that are not real, but they feel like they are. For example, someone might think they remember going to the beach with their family when they were little, but it turns out they never went. It can be very confusing because the person feels like the memory is real, but it isn't. False memory syndrome can happen because of different things, like not sleeping enough or taking drugs that can make people have strange thoughts and feelings.
