Okay kiddo, have you ever been really excited about something you like? Maybe a certain toy or a particular TV show? Well, being a "fanboy" is kind of like that, but on a bigger scale!
A fanboy is someone who is really, REALLY passionate about something - like a certain video game, comic book or movie franchise. They love it so much that they will defend it at all costs, even if other people don't like it or if it has flaws.
Sometimes, these people can get a little bit carried away with their love for something. They might argue with other people on the internet about why their favorite thing is the best thing ever, or they might spend lots of money on merchandise related to it.
Being a fanboy is okay, as long as you don't use your love of something to be mean or disrespectful to others. It's important to remember that not everyone has to like the same things you do, and that's okay!
