Faulty generalization

Faulty generalization is when you use an example that doesn't fit the whole group or situation. For example, let's say you think all athletes are good at math. That's a faulty generalization, because there might be some athletes who are not good at math. Faulty generalization means you are making an assumption about a whole group of people or a situation without having enough evidence to back it up.
