Felix culpa

Felix culpa is a Latin phrase that means “happy fault”. It usually refers to something bad that has happened, but actually turns out to have some kind of good that came out of it. For example, if you trip and fall, and then you realize that you didn't break anything, then the “happy fault” would be that you realized you weren't badly hurt. The incident might have been bad, but it had a good outcome.
