Feminization of poverty

Feminization of poverty is when more women than men live in poverty. This means women don't have enough money for basic needs like food, shelter and clothing. This is usually because women are paid less for doing the same job as men. Women also don't have the same rights as men, preventing them from getting certain jobs. Because of this, women often struggle more with poverty than men.
