Fiberscope

A fiberscope is a special camera that lets doctors and scientists see inside places that are hard to reach, like your throat or inside a machine. It's kind of like a tiny telescope that has a long, thin tube attached to the end. The tube is made up of a bunch of tiny fibers, like super-small straws, and these help the light and images to travel through the fiberscope.

When a doctor wants to use the fiberscope, they first put some special gel on the end of the tube to help it slide more easily through your body. Then they gently lower the tube down your throat or through a tiny hole in your skin. This might tickle or feel a little weird, but it shouldn't hurt.

Now that the fiberscope is in place, the doctor can look at the images on a screen or through a special lens. They might be looking for things like infections, tumors, or other things that could be causing problems. If they see something that needs to be removed or treated, they can use other tiny tools and instruments to do so.

Fiberscopes are really helpful because they let doctors see inside your body without having to cut you open or cause a lot of pain. They're also used in science and engineering to look inside machines and other places that are hard to access.
