Now, a first secretary of state is like the person who helps the president or the king or queen of a country. They help the leader make important decisions, communicate with other countries, and keep track of important information.

It's a really important job because they need to make sure everything is working well and everyone is following the rules. Sort of like how you make sure your toys are all in the right place and your friends are playing nicely when you have a playdate.
